Privacy Policy

SparkIn ("we", "our", or "us") is a Chrome extension that helps you generate LinkedIn comments using AI. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

SparkIn is designed with privacy as a default. We collect as little data as possible:

• License key & install ID — stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local. Your install ID is a randomly generated UUID used solely to bind your license to one browser profile.
• API keys — your OpenAI or Anthropic API keys are stored only in chrome.storage.local on your device. They are never transmitted to our servers.
• Settings & history — personas, preferences, and reply history are stored locally in your browser only.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your LinkedIn activity, posts, or comments.
• We do not store your AI-generated replies on our servers.
• We do not track your browsing history.
• We do not sell any data to third parties.

3. License Server

When you activate SparkIn, your license key and a randomly generated install ID are sent to our license server (hosted on Railway) to verify your purchase and return a signed token. This token is stored locally in your browser and verified locally on each use — no further server calls are made until the token expires (every 7 days).

We log license activations (license key, install ID, timestamp) for fraud prevention and support purposes only.

4. AI API Calls

When you click "AI Reply", the content of the LinkedIn post and your request are sent directly to OpenAI or Anthropic using your own API key. SparkIn acts as a relay in the Chrome extension background worker — your data is sent directly to the AI provider and is subject to their privacy policies.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We receive confirmation of your purchase and your email address to deliver your license key. We do not store credit card information. Refer to Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy for details.

6. Cookies & Analytics

Our landing page (sparkin.net) does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. The Chrome extension itself does not use cookies.

7. Data Retention

License activation records are retained for the lifetime of the product for support purposes. You may request deletion by emailing support@sparkin.net.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by contacting support@sparkin.net.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
